    Illustrator and Co-Author for the story of “Alice in Stringland” to introduce children to the concepts behind String theory.

    Understanding Contexts, Spring 2008:

    Worked with a small team to research, design and program a website for the release of the Minnesota Homegrown Cookbook for Renewing the Countryside, currently in use on their website. Of the designs each individual did, mine was the one chosen by the client to finalize and program.

    Research and Usability Testing
    Visualization Studio, Fall 2007:

    Worked with a group to research and developed new street mapping method for Grand Avenue Business Association that organized participating businesses and categorized them for easy navigation. Personal focus was research and user testing.

    Provided support for multiple projects with tasks ranging from Information Architecture, Design, Usability Testing, Client Meetings and general office tasks. Client experience ranges from medical device companies to transportation services and healthcare.

    Marketing and Branding Strategy Intern
    Exit Realty Imagine, August 2009 – December 2009

    Created social networking standards for brokers and agents to focus on to enhance their community outreach and communication. Organized new community news and market research site as an unbranded marketing strategy. Also helped individual agents with design projects to meet their sales needs.

    Illustration Intern
    The Good Bead, April 2009 – June 2009

    Illustrated beading tutorials for new “resources” section on website. Created social networking tools that integrated into the re-release of their website by keeping connected with customers.

    Loss Prevention Specialist
    Macy’s Department Stores, January 2007 – January 2008

    Monitored store activity using an integrated system of cameras and floor observation. Opporated undercover to prevent theft of assets by customers and dishonest employees. Interacted with various departments in order to assure store wide operations were going smoothly.


    Volunteer Experience

    Volunteer
    The Wildcat Sanctuary (http://wildcatsanctuary.org), February 2010-Present

    I primarily work as a Domestic Animal Care (DAC) volunteer, caring for the domestic hybrids, bengals, jungle cats and savannah cats. Cleaning, feeding, enrichment and assisting with any other tasks around the property, including cleaning, building enclosures and event planning.

    During special events, I help clean, set up and answer questions about the Sanctuary’s mission and my experience working with them.

    For group volunteer weekends, I assist in building enclosures in Cougar Cove. This involves moving supplies, hog-ringing fences and checking the grounds for any materials that fell while we were working so that the animals don’t get hurt when they move in.
