Shortly after returning from Guatemala, I had to do some fire spinning for my own sake. It had been far too long and I missed the adrenaline buzz I always get. Here are some pictures that my friend Eric took of me fire dancing. Enjoy!

Paintings…quite a few of them (in various states of completion)
Last week I went to the new Blick store in Edina and spent entirely too much on new painting supplies to celebrate my new free time. Since then, I’ve painted every night at least…practically all day when I can. I’m having so much fun experimenting and playing again, I don’t really care if it isn’t good, I’m just enjoying the journey. so here’s a sampling of what I’ve been doing, in various states of completion and goodness… sorry about the crappy light and camera…not much I can do about it. I would say that most of these aren’t done yet. but I was too excited not to post something and share what I’ve been working on. Feedback welcome!
- while I was painting on the art board, one of the blobs looked like a Beta fish, so I went with it and did an underwater scene
- playing with new paints on art board. very interesting surface to work on! used an old roll of tape to get the circles.
- painted over an old failed experiment and I really like the results, cant wait to see where this one goes
- playing with metalic paint is fun!
- playing with colors
- acrylic and oil pastel on canvas
- 100% cotton fabric stretched over a frame, should be intersting when I paint on it.
